Sept 6th 3:00, Lois commentary. At 3:30 pm ET, Interview with Judy Chaiken, director of The Girls in the Band. In the world of jazz, women have long been marginalized as singers or piano players. Little has ever been documented about the enormously talented female trumpet players, saxophonist and drummers who struggled for recognition but were cut off from any meaningful employment by men who didn't want women on their bandstands. This film traces the history of the all-girl bands and the struggles of the handful who broke through the male bastions, and brings us into the present day, where brilliantly gifted young women are going toe-to-toe with the finest jazz musicians of their day.

Afraid of being positive and believing in your dreams!?
No doubt you have a dream or a goal that you want to accomplish that will transform your life from a wishful thought or dream into a real ?happening?.
Dreams can come true-but for other people. Your self-conversation is: I cannot do this-I don?t have the money, who would help me? Where do I start? Sound familiar? How often we talk ourselves out of what we want to establish.
Why are we afraid to believe in ourselves and the goals we want?
Perhaps you tried before to accomplish a dream or fulfill a wish.
Some experience in this life time or another past life time, someone told you-you could not achieve your goal. This is someone else?s thought-coming from their own personal negative event-and we tend to believe them instead of ourselves.
I could spend time creating a very long list of "why?s" that really do not have any truth to them unless we nourish them. Moving forward!
Choice thinking is the key to becoming successful and ascertaining your visions.
Let me share the journeys I have taken and the concept of choosing.
I choose to understand that I have been here many times with purposeful lives and lessons. I recognize the work I chose to do on my path that will help me with designing a positive result. I created this vision in a blueprint before coming into this life time. I understand that if I follow the directions I can make it happen.
I choose to understand there will detours and difficulties with closed roadways and rejections making it difficult to continue the pathway. I choose to realize the power of right timing and believing the reasons will connect information that that bring insights and enrichment.
I choose to understand that I cannot let go of my vision and the importance of the commitment to my effort and passion creating the experience.
There is no right or wrong way to create your goals. There are no mistakes or failures. I choose to understand that the experience and lesson are the ingredients needed for a recipe that works for you. Understanding that if your gut tells you it feels right and believing that is amazing and very powerful?.
Works every time --- one step at a time...
I choose to understand ?going with the flow? is the energy that helps you remain open to possibilities and opportunity - that are there waiting to be fulfilled. When we try to direct the ?flow? that energy becomes blocked creating frustration and disappointment. Remembering the blueprint is right in front of you. Trust the directions even if it tells you something that brings you out of your comfort zone? Miraculous happenings transpire.
I choose to understand the importance of my blueprint. It has helped me in surviving a life changing car accident and the journey to create my talk show, ?Lois On The Line.?
I started with a thought and vision, filled it with passion, believing and taking the first step. Never let go and one day I turned the corner to ?Here It Is!?
